Freelancing Tips

Very few freelancers are willing to share their tips for success. I’ll do it for you here

  • Bid appropriately. Overbidding is the fastest way to get your bid rejected, and underbidding will force you to work for pennies.
  • Create a good Portfolio. Start with a Gold Membership on GetAFreelancer.com to save yourself fees and to add to your reputation, but always take payment through escrow and don’t be afraid to ask for feedback from your service buyer. They won’t be afraid to give it if you’ve done a good job. Also remember to customize your service provider page and ensure that you get samples of your work posted online.
  • Keep learning more. The more kinds of stuff you know how to do, the better off you will be. If you’re an article writer, learn how to write with SEO. If you’re a web designer, keep up on the latest programming languages and tools. The more you can offer, the higher the price you can get.
  • Bid only on the projects you can do well. If you follow the tips in the free guide in our newsletter, you can typically win half of the projects that you bid on, so only do those ones that you can do well and that will get you a good profit.
